Paul Tinkler, Chief Executive of Mirifice, one of the founding Directors of the company, said about the relationship  “Partnering with Amino and subsequently Amino recommending us to Comstar demonstrates the trust we have between us, and also the confidence that Amino has in MiriMON by recommending us to a key customer of theirs.”

Victor Belov, CTO of Comstar Direct, says “The start of the implementation is a very exciting time for us. We are initially starting with a base of 100,000 IPTV Comstar customers, but we see that number increasing rapidly. To date, we are very pleased with the features of MiriMON.”

Mirifice Ltd was founded by Paul Tinkler, Alex Dick and Niall Buckingham in 2004, with the aim of providing innovative solutions for the broadcast industry. The company was originally set up in the University of Bath’s Innovation Centre, part of the SETsquared Partnership. David Richards, formerly of Sun Microsystems, was selected by Mirifice as a business mentor, and has subsequently joined the company as a non-executive director.

In 2006 the company was starting to outgrow the incubator facilities provided by the SETsquared Partnership and moved to its own premises in central Bath. Mirifice has experienced strong growth in both its consultancy services business and its products business.

Our success has been based on bringing together a team of broadcast and telecoms experts, with strong relationships in the industry. This team has enabled Mirifice to win major projects with the most prestigious companies in the sector. Delivering excellent solutions, on time and to budget, has ensured repeat business and built Mirifice an enviable reputation.

Mirifice continues to grow through a policy of recruiting existing industry experts and by hiring the strongest graduates, who rapidly gain experience, skills and confidence working alongside more experience staff.

In early 2007 Mirifice secured funding from the South West Ventures Fund, managed by YFM Group. This funding allows the Mirimon monitoring solution to be deployed to a wider customer base and the rapid development of a channel sales model.
